Our office is on the north side of Mile End Road, the stretch of the A11 that runs between Whitechapel and Mile End. It is an easy building to walk past, so the landmark worth fixing in your head is Stepney Green Underground station: we are a few minutes east of it, on the same side of the road.

Most clients never need to come here at all — records arrive by email or shared folder and meetings happen by video. But if you would rather sit down with someone, everything you need to find us is below, including the parking and ULEZ questions people usually ask on the phone.

Nearest stations

Getting here by Underground

Two stations put you within a short walk of the door, and a third is worth knowing if you are coming in on the Elizabeth line.

Stepney Green — about 0.3 miles, roughly a five minute walk. District and Hammersmith & City lines. Turn east out of the station along Mile End Road.
Mile End — about 0.5 miles. Central, District and Hammersmith & City lines. Head west along Mile End Road.
Whitechapel — about 0.7 miles. District, Hammersmith & City, Elizabeth line and London Overground. Walk east along Whitechapel Road, which becomes Mile End Road.

Stepney Green is the closest but is not step-free. If you need step-free access from platform to street, come in via Whitechapel, which has lifts throughout, and walk or take a bus the last stretch.

Buses

Bus routes along Mile End Road

Mile End Road is a main bus corridor, so a bus is often quicker than changing trains. The 25, 205 and D3 all serve the road directly:

25 — runs the length of the A11 between Ilford and central London via Stratford, Bow, Mile End and Whitechapel. The single most useful route for reaching us from the east.
205 — crosses north London to Bow via Mile End Road and Whitechapel.
D3 — links Bethnal Green with Limehouse and the Isle of Dogs, crossing Mile End Road.

All three stop within a couple of minutes’ walk of Suda House. Buses in London are cashless — use contactless, an Oyster card or a phone.

Driving

Driving to Suda House

From central London, head east on the A11: Whitechapel High Street becomes Whitechapel Road, which becomes Mile End Road. Stay on it past the Royal London Hospital and Stepney Green station, and number 100 is on your left.

From Essex and the eastern boroughs, the A11 through Stratford and Bow brings you in from the opposite direction; from the Docklands, come up Burdett Road (A1205) from the A13 and turn right onto Mile End Road. Allow more time than the distance suggests — Mile End Road is busy for most of the working day.

Parking

Parking, ULEZ and cycling

There is no dedicated car park at Suda House. Parking in the surrounding Mile End and Stepney Green streets is a mix of pay-by-phone bays and residents’ permit bays, and the two are often on the same street, so read the plate on the post rather than the one at the end of the road. Bays along and just off Mile End Road are generally chargeable Monday to Saturday during the day and free outside those hours, but Tower Hamlets sets its own times street by street. Check the signs before you leave the car.

If you would rather not look for a space, the simplest option is to park a short walk away in one of the side streets north of Mile End Road and walk the last few minutes.

ULEZ and the Congestion Charge. Our office sits inside the Ultra Low Emission Zone, so a non-compliant vehicle pays the daily ULEZ charge. It is outside the Congestion Charge zone, which ends well to the west of us, so you do not pay the Congestion Charge to visit us. Check your registration on the Transport for London site if you are unsure whether your vehicle meets the ULEZ standard.

If you are cycling, there is on-street cycle parking along Mile End Road and the surrounding streets, and the route in from the west along the Mile End Road cycle lanes is straightforward.

Suda House is a standard office building on Mile End Road. Please book an appointment before visiting so the right member of the team is free when you arrive rather than out with a client. If you have specific accessibility requirements, tell us when you book and we will make suitable arrangements in advance.

Your first visit

What to bring to your first appointment

For a first appointment it helps to bring photo identification and proof of address (we need these for anti-money-laundering checks), your Unique Taxpayer Reference or company number if you have one, your most recent accounts or tax return, and details of your current accountant if you are switching. If you do not have all of it, come anyway — we can request most records on your behalf once you have signed the authorisation.

Visiting our Mile End office

Is the office inside the Congestion Charge zone?

No. The Congestion Charge zone ends well to the west of us, so you can drive to Mile End Road without paying it. The office is inside the ULEZ, so a non-compliant vehicle pays the daily ULEZ charge — but that applies across virtually all of Greater London now, so if you are driving in from anywhere in London you are already in it.

Can I park at the office?

There is no dedicated parking at Suda House. The surrounding streets mix pay-by-phone bays with residents’ permit bays, sometimes on the same street, so check the sign on the nearest post rather than assuming. Most visitors find a space within a few minutes’ walk.

Do I need an appointment?

Which station is step-free?

Whitechapel is step-free from platform to street and is about a 15 minute walk, or one stop on a bus along Mile End Road. Stepney Green, although closer, has stairs. Tell us when you book if you need step-free access and we will help you plan the last stretch.

What are your opening hours?

Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm. We are closed at weekends. If those hours do not work for you, ask — we can usually arrange an early or late appointment or a video call outside normal hours.
