Directions from Barking to Our Office
Barking to our office is a direct District line run to Stepney Green, or 25 to 35 minutes down the A13.
Barking is well connected to us. The District and Hammersmith & City lines run straight through to Stepney Green without a change, and Stepney Green is a five minute walk from the door.
If you are bringing records in by van or car, the A13 is the road you want. It runs west from Barking to Limehouse, and from there Burdett Road takes you north to Mile End Road.

By car
Driving from Barking
- From Barking, join the A13 heading west.
- Stay on the A13 through Beckton and Canning Town.
- At Limehouse, turn right onto Burdett Road (A1205) heading north.
- At the top of Burdett Road, turn right onto Mile End Road.
- Suda House, 100 Mile End Road, is on the left just past Stepney Green station.
About 25 minutes by car on a clear A13; allow 35 to 40 at rush hour.
ULEZ and the Congestion Charge. Our office sits inside the Ultra Low Emission Zone, so a non-compliant vehicle pays the daily ULEZ charge. It is outside the Congestion Charge zone, which ends well to the west of us, so you do not pay the Congestion Charge to visit us. Check your registration on the Transport for London site if you are unsure whether your vehicle meets the ULEZ standard.

District or Hammersmith & City line from Barking direct to Stepney Green — about 20 minutes with no changes — then a five minute walk east. c2c to Limehouse and a bus north is an alternative if the District line is disrupted.
Barking is step-free but Stepney Green is not. For level access, continue to Whitechapel and take the 25 bus back east along Mile End Road.

By bus
The 25 runs from Ilford along the A11 to Mile End Road and can be picked up at Stratford. There is no direct bus from Barking — the train is much the better option.

Coming up Burdett Road, the side streets either side of Mile End Road usually have space. If you are arriving with a van full of records, call ahead and we will tell you the easiest place to pull in.

Getting here from Barking
Do I need to come in, or can you handle CIS remotely?
Remotely is fine, and most Barking subcontractors work with us that way — photograph your CIS statements and receipts and send them over. The office is there if you would rather hand over a folder in person.
Is the District line quicker than driving from Barking?
Usually. About 20 minutes with no changes, against 25 to 35 minutes on the A13 plus finding a bay. Driving only wins if you are carrying more than you can manage on a train.
