Bow to our office is 1.4 miles straight west along the A11 — Bow Road becomes Mile End Road.
Bow sits at the eastern end of the same road we are on. Bow Road, Mile End Road and Whitechapel Road are one continuous route, so getting here from E3 means heading west and staying put.
The only thing worth knowing is that the road is busy through Mile End for most of the day. Two stops on the District or Hammersmith & City line is often faster than driving.
By car
About 6 minutes by car in clear traffic; allow 12 to 15 through Mile End at peak times.
ULEZ and the Congestion Charge. Our office sits inside the Ultra Low Emission Zone, so a non-compliant vehicle pays the daily ULEZ charge. It is outside the Congestion Charge zone, which ends well to the west of us, so you do not pay the Congestion Charge to visit us. Check your registration on the Transport for London site if you are unsure whether your vehicle meets the ULEZ standard.
Public transport
Bow Road station is on the District and Hammersmith & City lines — two stops west to Stepney Green, then a five minute walk east along Mile End Road. Bow Church DLR connects you to Poplar and Stratford if you are coming from further out first.
Neither Bow Road nor Stepney Green is step-free. If you need level access, travel to Whitechapel instead and take a bus back along Mile End Road.
Buses
The 25 runs the whole way from Bow along Mile End Road and stops close to the office. The 205 covers the same stretch. Both are frequent and avoid the parking question entirely.
Parking
Arriving from the east, the side streets off the north side of Mile End Road just past Stepney Green are usually your best chance of a bay. Expect a mix of pay-by-phone and permit-holder spaces and check the plate before leaving the car.

Common questions
Usually, yes. Two stops on the District or Hammersmith & City line takes a few minutes, against 7 to 12 minutes of stop-start traffic plus finding a space. Driving only wins if you are bringing a lot of paperwork.
A great many. Bow and Fish Island have a heavy concentration of building contractors and CIS subcontractors, and CIS returns, the VAT reverse charge and subcontractor verification are routine work for us.
