Directions from East Ham to Our Office
East Ham to our office is a direct District line run to Stepney Green — no changes, then a five minute walk.
This is one of the simplest journeys we get asked about. East Ham is on the District and Hammersmith & City lines, and so is Stepney Green, so it is a single train with no interchange and a short walk at the other end.
Driving is the slower option. The route west crosses Newham on roads that are congested for most of the working day, and the train is normally quicker by a clear margin.

By car
Driving from East Ham
- From High Street North, head west on Barking Road (A124).
- Continue towards Canning Town, then join the A13 westbound.
- Follow the A13 to Limehouse and turn right onto Burdett Road (A1205).
- At the top of Burdett Road, turn right onto Mile End Road.
- Suda House, number 100, is on the left just past Stepney Green station.
About 25 minutes by car; allow 35 or more when the A13 is heavy.
ULEZ and the Congestion Charge. Our office sits inside the Ultra Low Emission Zone, so a non-compliant vehicle pays the daily ULEZ charge. It is outside the Congestion Charge zone, which ends well to the west of us, so you do not pay the Congestion Charge to visit us. Check your registration on the Transport for London site if you are unsure whether your vehicle meets the ULEZ standard.

District or Hammersmith & City line from East Ham direct to Stepney Green — around 15 minutes, no changes — then five minutes on foot east along Mile End Road. That is the route to use.
Stepney Green is not step-free. If you need level access, stay on to Whitechapel, which is step-free throughout, and take the 25 bus back east along Mile End Road.
Buses
By bus
The 25 can be joined at Stratford and runs along the A11 to Mile End Road. From East Ham directly, the 104 and 300 head towards Stratford where you can change.

Arriving via Burdett Road, try the streets on the south side of Mile End Road first, then the residential roads to the north. Pay-by-phone and permit bays are mixed together — check the plate on the post rather than assuming.
