Since the Elizabeth line opened at Forest Gate this has become one of the quickest journeys on the list. Two stops to Whitechapel takes only a few minutes, and Whitechapel Road runs straight into Mile End Road from there.
Driving follows the A118 Romford Road west through Stratford and then the A11 — simple enough, but slower than the train at almost any time of day.

Driving from Forest Gate
- From Woodgrange Road, join Romford Road (A118) heading west.
- Continue through Stratford, joining the A11 at Stratford High Street.
- Follow the A11 through the Bow Roundabout onto Bow Road.
- Bow Road becomes Mile End Road — continue west past Mile End station.
- Suda House, number 100, is on the right shortly before Stepney Green station.
About 19 minutes by car; allow 25 to 30 through Stratford at peak times.
ULEZ and the Congestion Charge. Our office sits inside the Ultra Low Emission Zone, so a non-compliant vehicle pays the daily ULEZ charge. It is outside the Congestion Charge zone, which ends well to the west of us, so you do not pay the Congestion Charge to visit us. Check your registration on the Transport for London site if you are unsure whether your vehicle meets the ULEZ standard.

Both Forest Gate and Whitechapel are step-free, which makes this route fully accessible — worth knowing, because Stepney Green is not.

The 25 runs from Ilford through Forest Gate and Stratford along the A11 all the way to Mile End Road. It needs no changes but takes considerably longer than the Elizabeth line.
