This is the shortest journey of any area we cover. Whitechapel Road and Mile End Road are the same thoroughfare with a change of name, so there is no navigation involved: from Whitechapel station you simply keep heading east.
Plenty of Whitechapel clients walk it. Past the Royal London Hospital, past Whitechapel Market, past Stepney Green station, and Suda House is on your left at number 100.

By car
Driving from Whitechapel
- From Whitechapel station, join Whitechapel Road heading east.
- Continue past the Royal London Hospital, staying on the A11.
- Whitechapel Road becomes Mile End Road at the Cambridge Heath Road junction — keep straight on.
- Pass Stepney Green Underground station on your left.
- Suda House, 100 Mile End Road, is on the left shortly after.
Google routes it at about 3 minutes by car, but the A11 through Whitechapel is congested for most of the day and the 8 minute walk is often quicker door to door.
ULEZ and the Congestion Charge. Our office sits inside the Ultra Low Emission Zone, so a non-compliant vehicle pays the daily ULEZ charge. It is outside the Congestion Charge zone, which ends well to the west of us, so you do not pay the Congestion Charge to visit us. Check your registration on the Transport for London site if you are unsure whether your vehicle meets the ULEZ standard.

By Underground and rail
Whitechapel has the District, Hammersmith & City and Elizabeth lines plus the Overground, and is one stop from Stepney Green on the District and Hammersmith & City. From Stepney Green it is about a five minute walk east.
Whitechapel is fully step-free from platform to street, which makes it the best interchange for anyone who needs level access — then continue by bus along Mile End Road rather than using Stepney Green, which has stairs.

By bus
The 25 and 205 run directly from Whitechapel Road to Mile End Road and stop within a couple of minutes of the office. It is only three or four stops.

If you are driving this short distance, the side streets north of Mile End Road around Stepney Green are usually the easiest place to find a bay. Restrictions vary street by street, so read the sign on the post nearest your space.

How long does it take to walk from Whitechapel station?
About 8 minutes at an ordinary pace — it is a straight line east along Whitechapel Road and then Mile End Road, with no turns. Many of our E1 clients walk it rather than wait for a bus.
Is it worth driving from Whitechapel?
Usually not. The A11 through Whitechapel is slow for most of the working day and you then have to find a bay at this end. The bus or a walk is normally quicker door to door.
